Meet Eddie Shaw, WOH Recipient for Peter Pan Jr.

Eddie Shaw is an exceedingly kind and sensitive boy who loves making people happy. He was diagnosed in 2025 (at age 6) with Medulloblastoma, Group 3. He underwent emergency brain surgery in April 2025 to remove a 4 cm tumor. He then completed 6 weeks of radiation on his head and spine, took a month break, then started aggressive chemotherapy treatment.

You will find his smiling face, along with his parents and older brothers, Bennet and Lyle, at the hospital once a month for a couple of days for his continued treatment. He is an absolute fan of dinosaurs, Disney movies, popcorn, Hawaiian pizza, and his dog Hades.

He is currently homeschooled for first grade and keeps his teacher laughing with all his jokes. His love of dinosaurs has led the Make A Wish Foundation to offer him and his family a trip to Kauai in December to see the locations where the original Jurassic Park was filmed.

The family feels so blessed to be part of the Wall of Hope Program at Hopebox Theatre. We rejoice with them in knowing that as of March 2026, Eddie’s MRI’s show no significant tumors present.
